SPRUCE UP YOUR EMPTY HOME!

by Jeremy Norman

A couple of ways to spruce up your empty home

If your moving into an older house and it feels a little dark and gloomy, or if your just in the move for a change of scenery, here are a couple of ways to bring your home, condo or apartment to life

Adding plants and flowers to your home gives so much life! Even if you don’t have time to take care of real plants, you can still get some artificial greenery.

You can either get large trees that will take up empty space in the corner or you can have vases with beautiful flowers for your side or dining tables. Some people even use small flowers for their bookshelves along with other trinkets

Speaking of bookshelves, another way to really show off your personality through design is by using bookshelves. Filling them with things like candles, souvenirs and of course books can add character to your home. These things can even color coordinate with the feel of the house.

(Floating shelves are a great option for those that don’t have space for a full bookshelf)

Changing out a simple light fixture can change a room from bland to modern quickly. Opt for something that will catch the eyes of your guest and something that ties in the vibes of the room together

The most popular way to add spice to a home is using an accent wall. There are many videos on how to do this on your own whether it’s painting, stencils or wallpaper
